1. Cops: Man Caught Drinking With a Child in the Car

A 37-year-old Shirley man was slapped with a felony charge under Leandra's Law on April 19 at 10:00 a.m. after Westhampton Beach Police found him passed out drunk in the parking lot of St. Mark's Church with his two-year-old in the car.

2. Incident Reports: Employee Uses Business Account to Pay Personal Bills

The owner of Sunday’s restaurant on Dune Road in Hampton Bays told police April 16 that her former employee, who worked for her in July 2012, has been using her business account to pay personal bills. Since February 2013, the account has been used periodically, totally $4,013 in charges. Police detectives are following up.

Southampton Police Log: Man Threatens Woman with Chainsaw

4. Accidental Weapon Discharge

A Southampton Town Police Department detective responded to a Hampton Bays home on April 14 after a nurse at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead asked that police conduct a welfare check regarding a man who accidentally shot himself in the toe while cleaning a rifle the day before, according to an incident report.

5. Cops: Quogue Man Had Multiple DWI Arrests

Village of Quogue police have slapped a felony DWI charge on a 24-year-old Quogue man — police said Jamie Brown has had prior DWI arrests.
