The Center for Creative Retirement (CCR) meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and afternoons from noon to 1 p.m. Retirees seeking an intellectual challenge and social engagement will find in the program just what they are seeking.
Each day brings a fresh perspective on some topic that the members have chosen as part of the syllabus. CCR volunteers research and present the topics. As a member, you can look forward to a rich tapestry of new facts and perspectives.
On Monday September 16, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., sit in on an introduction to CCR's course, "Advertising and Consumerism in the U.S.A." The course hopes to answer the question: How do advertisers get people to buy their products? In the afternoon, from noon to 1:00 p.m., hear from a clinical psychologist about the psychology of advertising.
