Frutti Di Mare Offers Lunch Special to Cops and Volunteer Firefighters

The eatery said its wants to give something back.

Wanting to thank emergency response personal, Frutti Di Mare, of Hampton Bays is offering a lunch special to all police officers, volunteer firefighters, EMS workers and Coast Guard members.

"We love our officers and want to thank them for serving our community," Chef Marco Barrila said.

The special, Barrila said is a $5 tax-free lunch combo that includes gourmet paninis, sandwiches and wraps of grilled chicken, ham and cheese, tuna salad, roasted turkey or seasonal vegetable that can be served cold or hot, along with potato chips or daily side and a drink.

The eatery is also offering a 10 percent discount on anything off its main menu.

Frutti Di Mare first opened its doors in October 2011 and offers indoor and outdoor seating and caters to families and children with an extensive kids menu known as “Mare Meals.”

The company also aims to be eco-friendly by not only supporting local food producers and fishermen, but also by using green containers along with non-transfat, cholesterol free oils.
