Sharon Kerr, Howard Lorber and Kim Renk Dryer were honored Saturday by the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons during the Hampton Bays animal rescue's "Get Wild" benefit in Southampton Village at the home of NBC 4 New York news anchor Chuck Scarborough and wife Ellen.

The event attracted many guests, including Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky Stern, who was trained as a volunteer animal rescuer through the shelter.

Kerr was the co-chair of Wildlife Conservation Gala at the Central Park Zoo in 2012, the same year she first become involved with the Wildlife Rescue Center, according to a statement from the center. Kerr called to report a deer entangled in wire, and center volunteers responded to free it.

Lorber, who is the chairman of the Southampton Hospital Foundation board and a member of other nonprofit boards, became a generous supporter of the center since being introduced  by Leslie Alexander, the center stated.

Alexander, the owner of the Houston Rockets and Société du Vin in Bridgehampton, is another big supporter of the center's mission. In fact, it was renamed the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center for his mother.

Renk Dryer is the co-owner of Sequin, a jewelry line that has a popup shop in Southampton Village, and the founder of a rabbit rescue sanctuary in Rhode Island.
