Town Police Log: East End Drug Task Force Arrest

Also: drunk car crash reported.

Arrest reports from the Southampton Town Police Department for the week of May 13 to May 19 for west of the Shinnecock Canal:

Criminal Sale of Marijuana

• Sean J. Nigg, 20, of East Moriches, was arrested on two counts of criminal sale of marijuana in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor, on May 16 at 8:33 a.m. following a long-term East End Drug Task Force investigation, according to police. An arrest report states that the incidents occurred on May 12 at 12:59 p.m. on Montauk Highway in Speonk and on March 30 at 11:45 a.m. at Nigg's Tuthill Point Road home in East Moriches. Nigg was picked up by police at his home.

Driving While Intoxicated

• Daniel P. Sullivan, 40, of Hampton Bays, was arrested May 15 at 2:40 a.m. at the intersection of Montauk Highway and Flanders Road in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as consuming an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, having no stop lamps and failing to signal, all traffic infractions. Police said Sullivan failed to signal a turn and also had a brake lamp out when he was pulled over. According to the arrest report, Sullivan had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, slurred speech and bloodshot eyes and he was unsteady on his feet. He had also been drinking a 12-ounce can of Budweiser, the report states.

• Joanna Deleon, 22, of Westhampton Beach, was arrested May 18 at 6:03 a.m. in Flanders and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and driving an uninsured vehicle, a traffic infraction. Police said Deleon was involved in a motor vehicle accident at 5:40 a.m. on Flanders Boulevard South while driving a 2007 Nissan Sentra and was found to be drunk.
