The Westhampton Beach Fire Department honored their own at its 82nd installation dinner, held at the Westhampton Country Club on Potunk Lane on Friday night. 

During the evening awards were handed out to top responders, to the firefighter and officer of the year and for outstanding service. The following are the names of the awardees:

  • Thomas Covino
  • Donald Griffin
  • William “Bo” Overton
2012 Firefighter of the Year
  • John Cable
2012 Officer of the Year
  • Thomas Glover
Chief Stephen Smith Award for outstanding service
  • Padriac Smith
Also at the dinner, Firefighter Christopher “Yogi” Raynor was  honored for his twenty-nine years of service to the department.
