Plumber Nabbed for Stealing Customer's Checkbook
Police said the plumber wrote checks to himself in the amount of $375.
Southampton Town Police said they have charged a 28-year-old plumber from Setauket with a misdemeanor count of forgery and two misdemeanor counts of petit larceny after he allegedly stole a checkbook from a Remsenburg customer.
According to police, the plumber took the checkbook while on the job at a home on Halsey Lane in June.
After an investigation revealed that the plumber wrote checks to himself in the amount of $375.00, police officially charged him on Oct 23.
