Volunteers Donate 2,700 Hours of Service

The 60 volunteers were honored at a BBQ at the Quogue Village Beach Club.

Some 60 volunteers were honored on Tuesday at a beach party at the Quogue Village Beach Club for donating more than 2,700 hours of community service to the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center over the past year.

The volunteers, according to the performing arts center, not only help over 35,000 patrons flow smoothly in and out of the theatre during regular performances, but they also give time during School Day Performances, seating over 10,000 students and their teachers; assist the administrative staff with periodic mailings of newsletters, brochure mailings, and annual appeals; and they help at events, including the center's annual golf tournament fundraiser.

"They are dedicated, loyal, and eager to help the PAC meet its mission," said the center in an e-mail statement this week.
