A Beginner’s Home Canning Workshop on Our Homestead in Hampton Bays!
Ever wanted to learn to preserve the year’s harvest for enjoyment later in the year? Maybe you’re interested in making your own pickles, jams, or tomato sauce for yourself, your family, or to give as gifts.
In this two hour class, we will be preparing, cooking, and then canning locally grown fruits and vegetable using the water bath method. Participants will learn the process of safe canning and take home a jar of their own.

August 17: Pickles
September 7: Peach Jam
September 14: Tomatoes
September 21: Apple Sauce
