Police Seek Public's Help in Finding Burglar
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town police are asking the public to help them locate a man who allegedly burglarized South Fork Realty, located at 143 Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, on April 5.
According to police, the man walked into the realty agency and took cameras and two checks and then fled. The following day, police said, he attempted to cash one of the checks at the Suffolk County National Bank in Center Moriches.
Police said he left the bank after the teller refused to cash the check, even after the man presented an Idaho license that identified him as James Jay Radler, 42.
Police believe he is driving a silver 2010 Volkswagen Jetta with Idaho plate 1A5B046.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
