Westhampton Boasts Miss LI Contestant
Robin Bonner will compete on Aug. 11 in Patchogue.
On August 11, 37 Long Island girls between the ages of 13-26 will take the stage at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts to compete for the title of Miss Long Island and Miss Teen Long island — one of those contestants is from Westhampton, Robin Bonner.
Competing in pageant is not a new concept for Bonner, who competed in the 2012 Miss America Pageant as Miss Rhode Island. She lost to Miss Wisconsin Laura Kaeppeler, but said she wouldn't trade the experience for anything.
Now, Bonner 21, is back. She will compete as a collage grad — in May, she graduated with a BS in textiles from the University of Rhode Island cum Laude.
If Bonner wins the Miss LI contest, she will have the opportunity to move onto the Miss New York USA pageant. which is produced by Dazzle D. Production.
Doors open for the Miss LI contest at 3:00pm; the pageant begins at 4:00pm.
