SoCo Ice Cream Tops At Double Rainbow

While rain dampened part of Memorial Day weekend, ice cream sales were still high at the Double Rainbow Shop in Quogue - a sign, the owner says, of the season to come.

Grace Davidson, owner of the store, said she introduced the SoCo ice cream line last summer after opting not to serve Hershey and Rainbow flavors.

"Customers really love SoCo ice cream," said Davidson, who is in her 6th season at the location.

Popular flavors, she said, are salted caramel, capaccino crunch, and dirty chocolate.

"Anything dirty chocolate sells - cups, cones, and milkshakes," she said.

Aside from ice cream, the store features summer items, from beach toys to boogie boards and kites.

And for rainy summer days, there is an array of toys to entertain the kids, including Lego sets and Hello Kitty items.
