Photos: Flanders Fire Department Celebrates 65 Years

The Flanders Fire Department first opened its doors in 1948.

On Saturday at 3:00 p.m., Flanders residents lined State Route 24 to celebrate a milestone with a parade — The Flanders Fire Department turned 65.

Residents cheered, honoring the "Keepers of the Pine Barrens" as volunteer firefighters marched and firetrucks rolled down the parade route.
