Westhampton Beach Civic Engagement Project

Congressman Tim Bishop presented special Certificates of Congressional Recognition to Westhampton Beach High School students who participated in his 2012-2013 Civic Engagement Program. This year, Westhampton Beach's students participated in: Special Olympics Volunteers; Adopt-A-Family; Bake Sales for ‘Sandy’ victims and food collections in Mastic Food Panty; Spirit Week events for Epilepsy Research & Awareness; 5K race for the International Committee of the Red Cross. Ms. Patricia Cardo served as adviser. Congressman Bishop honored the Hurricane students on May 1 at a ceremony with other participating schools from the First Congressional District held at Mt. Sinai High School.
