The Westhampton Free Library Pet Parade

The Westhampton Free Library 1st ever Halloween Pet Parade took place on Sunday, October 27.  Participants dressed their pets in their Halloween best.  “People are crazy for their dogs, as I am.  I wanted to have an event that showcased all the stylish pets out there in Westhampton,” said Idea Place Librarian Sonja L. Roese.  Ms. Roese led the parade and awarded the best dressed with prizes at the end on the catwalk.

“The pet parade is another way that the Westhampton Free Library brings all family members together.  For those of us who have pets, it was a fun way to show them off,” said Westhampton Free Library Director Danielle Zubiller.

The Library looks forward to hosting the parade again next year.  “Start planning those pet costumes now,” Ms. Roese said.
