J.K. Rowling will appear in a live simulcast of her only public appearance in the U.S. to celebrate her first adult novel, The Casual Vacancy at the Westhampton Free Library on  October 16 at 8PM. The event is sponsored by Books and Books.

The Casual Vacancy is the new adult fiction book by J.K. Rowling.  She of course is best known for the Harry Potter series.  This will be an unique opportunity to hear her insight into her new novel without having to travel to NYC to do so.

This is her sole U.S. public appearance on behalf of The Casual Vacancy.  The event will be held at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall and features a conversation with Ann Patchett.
