Brett Dennen Performs Thursday; Westhampton Festival of the Arts Coming This Weekend

Here are five featured events this week: 

— Kids on the Green: Hosted by the Westhampton Youth Alliance & the Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce at the village gazebo, the Zumba class starts on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

— Brett Dennen: His songs have that folky, feel-good sound that makes you want to do a joyful dance. Coming off a top ten hit with COMEBACK KID, it looks to be a banner year for Dennen, who recently signed to F Stop/Atlantic Records and is currently recording his fifth studio album. He will perform Thursday at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center at 8:30 p.m. Price: $25

— Wing Eating Contest: Grand Opening of Hurricane Grill and Wings in Manorville on Thursday. Join Soccer Legend Keith "K27A" Arce and Former Green Bay Packer Gary Brown in a wing eating contest to benefit Ronald McDonald House. Win prizes, trophies & bragging rights.  Free activities all day long, starting at 7 p.m.

— 5th Annual Westhampton Festival of the Arts: This Labor Day weekend, the nationally ranked fine art festival returns to Westhampton Beach. Held on the Great Lawn, across from St. Marks Church at the corner of Main Street and Potunk Lane, it is the largest fine art festival on Long Island.  The hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Admission and parking are free. 

— Dueling Pianos: Music and clean comedy at the Suffolk Theater in Riverhead.
Tickets: $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
