Southampton Pet of the Week: Evey Was Displaced by Sandy

Two-year-old cat needs a home.

This week, the Southampton Animal Shelter is looking to find a home for Evey, a sweet, two-year-old cat, who was displaced from Hurricane Sandy.

According to Linda Goldsmith, of the Southampton Animal Shelter, Evey loves people of all sizes and tolerates other dogs, but should be the only dog at home.

Every's adoption fee, as well as the fee for other cats at the shelter, have been waived through the shelter's partnership with Maddies Fund and the Mayor's Alliance of NYC.

All animals are licensed, up to date on their vaccinations, micro-chipped and have been spayed or neutered. Adoption fees typically range from $40 to $60 for a cat and from $60 to $125 for a dog.

To adopt Every or any of the other animals available for adoption, call the shelter at 631-728-7387 or visit 102 Old Riverhead Road in Hampton Bays.
