Weekly Car Show to Benefit Fire Department

The show will run every Tuesday night through September 15.

Beach Hand Wash in Westhampton Beach is looking to lend the Westhampton Beach Fire Department a hand with a weekly car show that will benefit firefighters.

According to one of the wash's three owners Jason Gamba, Beach Hand Wash will be donating all funds generated through the car show, which will be held every Tuesday night from 5:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. through September 15, to the Westhampton Beach Fire Department.

The show will not only feature vintage, exotic and classic cars, but also food.

Gamba said the car wash staff will be BBQing hot dogs and hamburgers that will be handed out to car owners at no charge and show attendees can get a bite to eat for a $1 donation.

Gamba also urges parents to bring their children to the event as there will be a different fire truck each week for them to explore.

Al Carabis, co-owner and car enthusiast, said, creating a car show goes hand-in-hand with a car wash business.

"Owning car washes, we always enjoy meeting serious car enthusiasts," he said, adding, "We wanted to do something special for our community and show our support for the local fire department."
