Hamptons Weekend Guide: Blessing of the Fleet, Rose Show, & More

SHELTER ISLAND
   
• Book readingDog trainer and author of "Hamptons Dogs," Lisa Hartman, will be talking at the Shelter Island Library on Friday at 7 p.m.   

SPRINGS
   
• Bike RideAt the Pollack-Krasner House on Saturday, the 'Holistic-Artistic Bike Ride' rolls off starting at 8 a.m. The ride includes a tour of the home, a bike ride to some local farm stands, and a scenic ride back to the house. Cost is $50.  

WAINSCOTT   
• SUP ClinicStand-up paddleboard racers, grab your board if you're looking for some how-to tips from one of the best. Actually, two of the best: two of the world's top paddlers will be sharing their knowledge during two four-hour courses this weekend at Main Beach Surf & Sport. Cost of each is $150.   

BRIDGEHAMPTON
   
• Cocktail BenefitOn Sunday at 5 p.m. the Bridgehampton Historical Society will be holding its annual benefit, with proceeds going toward offering their programs and exhibits. Food, wine, live music and more. Cost is $100.     

SOUTHAMPTON
   
• Oil Spill LectureVisit Stony Brook Southampton's campus for a lecture on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The topic will be the "Use of Chemical Dispersants in Oil Spills: Studies on the Deepwater Horizon Accident in the Gulf of Mexico," given by two SBU professors. Admission is free.   
• Rose ShowThe Southampton Rose Society will host its 37th annual Rose Show, at the Rogers Memorial Library, on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Judging will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, and the show opens to the public at 1 p.m.   
• Piano PerformanceRising stars Orion Weiss and Anna Polonsky will perform Saturday night at 7 at the Southampton Cultural Center on Pond Lane. Cost of admission is $15.     

HAMPTON BAYS
   
• Cat-a-thonThe Southampton Animal Shelter is offering a cat adoption fee of $9 in celebration of National Pet Adoption Weekend.   
• Battle of the BandsTeen bands will rock the house at Ponquogue Beach on Friday starting at 7 p.m. for the 11th Annual Battle of the Bands. Tickets are $10 at the door.   
• YogaCatch a yoga class on Saturday at Hamptons Yoga Healing Arts at 1 p.m.  

WESTHAMPTON BEACH
   
• ZumbaJoin Oscar Gonzalez on the sun deck at the Ocean Resort on Dune Road on Saturday to kick off the morning with a Zumba class at 9:30 a.m. Cost is $20, or $125 for a 10-week package.   
• Jay MohrNeed a good laugh? Comedian Jay Mohr is performing at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Sunday at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $55 to $75.   

SPEONK
   
• Cut-a-thonTwenty five bucks for a pet haircut? You heard right. Salon Echelon is holding its second annual fundraiser for RSVP Animal Welfare & Rescue on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
