Auditions Set For Hampton Theatre Company's New Show

Auditions will be held on Aug. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Aug. 13 from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

 is set to cast its latest show, Good People, by David Lindsay-Abaire in August. 

The theatre company has scheduled auditions for Aug. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Aug. 13 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the on Jessup Avenue in Quogue.

The company says the show has openings for four women and two men and union and non-union actors are invited to audition.

Roles are as follows:

MARGARET (white, 45-50), a tough-cookie-with-a-heart-of-gold, down on her luck single mother from South Boston.

MIKE (white, 45-50), a successful fertility doctor who escaped Margaret's South Boston neighborhood and is not eager to be reminded of his past.

JEAN (white, 45-50), Margaret's tough as nails friend, the "mouthy from Southie."

STEVIE (white, late 20s), the manager of a dollar store, the son of an old friend of Margaret's. 

KATE (African-American, 30s), Mike's English professor wife, kind, beautiful, and well-educated.

Rehearsals for “Good People" begin September 10, with performances running from October 25 through November 11, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons, at the Quogue Community Hall.
