The Westhampton Beach varsity football team will kick off its 2013 season on the road against Sayville today in a huge rematch game at 4 p.m.

The Hurricanes are coming off an amazing year last season, capped off with a trip to the Suffolk County Championship game, which they lost to Sayville 36-7.

Can the team get even today? Can they beat the team that took them down last year?

Meanwhile, the Hampton Bays Baymen start their season tomorrow also on the road against Elwood/John Glenn at 4:30 p.m. The Baymen opened last year in the same fashion and edged Glenn by one point, 21-20. But they were on the unfortunate end of another one-point game that ended their season, a 22-21 loss in the playoffs to Mercy.

Can Hampton Bays put together another strong year and get back to the playoffs?
