Hamptons Baseball: Westhampton Aviators Take Top Spot

Playoff schedule is set with the first game to take place on Saturday at Hite Field.

The took first place in the regular season of Hamptons Baseball after defeating the Sag Harbor Whalers 4 to 3 in a game on Thursday.

The regular season ended with a total of 100 games played.  Of those, the Aviators won 22 games, just one game ahead of the Southampton Breakers, according to hamptonsbaseball.org

The North Fork Ospreys took third place, Sag Harbor fourth and the Riverhead Tomcats finished fifth and will not be eligible to participate in the semifinals.

The semifinals will kick off on Saturday with the Aviators facing off against Sag Harbor at 4 p.m. at Hite Field.
