Hamptons Baseball: Tomcats Score In Ninth Inning For Win Over Aviators
Riverhead's Tomcats beat Westhampton Aviators 7-6 on Tuesday night.
The were defeated by Riverhead’s Tomcats at game at Riverhead High School on Tuesday night.
According to Hamptonsbaseball.com, the Tomcats secured their lead in the bottom of the ninth inning when Keith Herring got a run home from third base.
Other highlights of the game, according to Hamptonbaseball.com, included a homerun by the Aviator’s Mike Rosenfeld in the eighth inning and the Tomcats Zach Mathieu getting two doubles and two RIBIs.

The Tomcats win puts them third place in the league. The Aviators stay in second.
The Tomcats and the Aviators will meet again on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Hite Field and the Tomcats will play the North Fork Ospreys at Riverhead High School Wednesday night at 5. The Aviators will also play on Wednesday night. They will meet the Southampton Breakers at 5 p.m. at Stony Brook Southampton.
