Hamptons Offshore Invitational 2011 Awards Dinner

The Hmaptons Offshore Invitational 2011 at Oakland's Marina will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island from Aug. 13 through Aug. 21. Boats will fish for Bigeye Tuna (minimum of 100lbs), Yellowfin tuna (minimum of 30lbs), mako shark (minimum of 125 pounds), albacore (minimum of 30lbs), mahi (minimum of 5lbs), bluefish (one day category only, minimum of 5lbs), tag/release marlin, and there will be a special Wahoo award. It is sponsored by the Shinnecock Marlin & Tuna Club.

A captain's meeting will be held on Aug. 12 at 7 p.m.

There will be a special drawing for entries received by Aug. 1. The first 80 boats will receive captain's bags. Entries received after Aug. 10 will be accepted if space is available.

Oakland's will be the weigh-in station on Saturdays from 4 to 7 p.m. and Sunday until noon.

On the final day, there will be "Dinner in the Dunes" at 5 p.m. There will be a silent auction with sports memorabilia, art work and more.

Enty fees:

  • Overnight Category: $950 after Aug. 1 (includes two tickets to awards dinner and two separate overnight trips). 
  • Day Category: $650 after Aug. 1 (includes two tickets to awards dinner and four out of the nine fishing days of your choice).

Additional tickets available for $75 with entry or $150 without entry
