Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness:  Recently, Riley Tupper made 23 or 25 shots at the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Annual Northeast Central Regional Hoop Shot Competition in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

In attending the competition, Tupper represented the Southampton Elks Lodge #1674 after qualifying in the local district and state competitions.

According to the Hampton Bays School District, Riley was one of the best shooters among nearly 11,000 girls in New York State.

With her win in the Northeast Central Regional Hoop Shot Competition, Tupper now has the opportunity to compete against 11 other contestants from around the United States to become the National Hoop Shot Champion.

If she wins, she will have her name inscribed on the wall of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA.  

A total of 3 million boys and girls, between the ages of 8 to 13 competed in this competition.
