Westhampton Beach Teachers Welcome New Union Prez
Susan Kearns will replace Jim Duca, who was recently accused of illegal electioneering practices, according to a 27East report.
A couple of weeks after a former Westhampton Beach school board member during this year's school board election race, 27East is reporting that the union has a new president.
Former union head Jim Duca sought not to retain his title months ago, the report states. The article quotes the press officer for the New York State United Teachers as saying the two incidents are unrelated.
The new union president will reportedly be Susan Kearns, a special education teacher at the high school.
