UPDATED: School Districts Ask Parents To Be Prepared for School Closings

Are school district administrators are watching the storm closely.

Previous: School administrators from Westhampton to Hampton Bays and East Quogue say they are closely monitoring Hurricane Sandy and say they have not yet made any decisions as to if their respective schools will be closed on Monday.

Rob Long, principal of East Quogue Elementary School said at this point, the district is just asking parents to be prepared for a possible school closing.

"We want people to be as prepared as possible," he said.

Superintendent of the Westhampton Beach School District Mike Radday issued a similar statement, saying that the district is watching the storm closely.
