UPDATED: School District Candidates Set to Run

With petitions for all school board candidates due in this past Monday, the race for open school board seats is on in Hampton Bays, Westhampton Beach and East Quogue.

In Hampton Bays, there is one open, three-year term seat up for grabs, however there is no challenge.  School board vice president George Leeman has opted not to seek reelection and Dorothy Capuano, who was part of the Hampton Bays School District’s budget advisory committee, is running for his seat unopposed.

In Westhampton Beach, there is also one seat available and Aram V. Terchunian, president of the board, will battle George R. Kast, Jr. for the five-year position.

In East Quogue there are three candidates running for two open seats.  Incumbents Mario Cardaci and Patricia Tuzzolo are vying to keep their seats from challenger Art Solnick.
