School Budget Results: All Area School Budgets Pass

Westhampton Beach school board president unseated.

In the , voters approved the district’s $7.5 million budget, which reflects a tax levy increase of 3.98 percent.

The school district’s clerk said the budget was approved with 79 voters voting yes and 28 voters pulling the lever for no.

Voters also re-elected to the school board. He ran unopposed for the seat. He was re-elected with 89 votes.

In the , voters approved the district’s $44 million budget, which carries with it a 5.9 percent tax rate increase.

According to the district clerk, the budget was approved in a 977 to 598 vote.

Voters also elected to the school board.  Capuano ran unopposed for a seat currently held by George Leeman, who did not seek re-election. Capuano garnered 1,030 votes.

In the , voters approved the district’s $22 million budget, which carried with it a 5.69 percent tax levy increase.

The school district’s clerk said voters approved the budget 366 to 292.

Voters also re-elected and to the school board. They were challenged by .  Tuzzolo got 416 votes, Cardaci garnered 396 votes and 238 people voted for Solnick.

In the , voters approved the district’s $50.4 million budget. The budget was approved in a vote of 436 to 233.

Voters also elected to the school board. Kast won the seat against , school board president, in a vote of 345 to 303.

"I am very grateful and just excited. I am new at it, but excited to learn everything," said Kast of his win. "Thank you to everyone that voted for me."

Of the vote, Terchunian said, “It was a great ten years with terrific people.  I am pleased and honored to have served.  Best of luck to Mr. Kast.”
