Budget

Taxpayers in Quogue are being asked to approve a $7,824,085 budget, which includes a 1.95 spending increase and 1.49 percent tax levy. For more on the budget, click here
 
School Board Candidates 

In Quogue, there are three open seats and three candidates running. They include, 
Incumbents Barbara Sartorius, Lauren Battista and newcomer Joyce Flynn.    

When and Where to vote: 

Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Quogue School library.

Remsenburg/Speonk School District 

Taxpayers in the Remsenburg/Speonk School District are being asked to approve a $12,866,909 budget, which carries a 4.20 spending increase and 2.36 percent tax levy increase.

Candidates:

Incumbent John Kern and John Barry are running unopposed for two open seats.

Propositions: 

Proposition 2: RESOLVED, that the Board of Education be authorized to contract with Westhampton Beach UFSD and Eastport/South Manor CSD for the education of students in Grades 7 through 12 for the 2013-2014 school year.

Proposition 3: RESOLVED, that the Board of Education is authorized to contract with Suffolk Cooperative Library System for a period of one year only commencing July 1, 2013, for direct access library service for a sum not to exceed $252,816 in addition to the sum set forth in the budget, and to levy the necessary tax therefor
