Hampton Bays Resident Wins Anthropology Award

Stephanie Akten was one of 11 students to win the award.

Stephanie Akten of Hampton Bays is one of eleven anthropology students from the University at Albany that have been selected as Public Anthropology Award winners in a recent North American competition.

To win in the competition, which involved more than 3,500 students from 25 schools Akten, a sophomore, shared her views on how Institutional Review Boards in the U.S. should enforce a set of common rules regarding research.
