Searching for Wildlife on the Barrier Island

The barrier island on the south side of Hampton Bays is a harbor for seals, loons, great blue herons, egrets, long-tailed ducks, snow buntings, and marsh hawks. Steve Biasetti of the Group for the East End will lead a walk to search out these wildlife, especially a short-eared or snowy owl. Be sure to bring a pair of binoculars. The group will meet in the parking lot on the west side of Shinnecock Inlet on the Hampton Bays side.
