Enlighten, Inform & Educate: Breast Cancer Awareness Event at the Quogue Library

It is estimated that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. The Quogue Library will host Enlighten, Inform & Educate - its first annual event - to raise awareness about this disease on Sunday, October 7th at 2 p.m. Doctors Hiram S. Cody III of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Medical Center and B. Hannah Ortiz of Peconic Bay Medical Center will lead our discussion on breast health, early detection and the latest developments in breast cancer research and treatment.  The event will culminate in a question and answer session and light refreshments. Timely literature from local organizations will also be available. All are welcome.

To complement this event, the Art Gallery Committee has curated Interpretations of the Female Form – a special month long exhibit in our Art Gallery.
