East Quogue Kids Help Homeless Pets in Super Bowl Drive
Children collected blankets, toys, treats and food for needy animals.
They may be little, but they're a mighty force when it comes to helping homeless pets.
Lauren Squires' second grade class at the East Quogue Elementary School held a Super Bowl Donation Drive recently to help the homeless pets at the Southampton Animal Shelter.
Kids garnered donations of blankets, toys, treats, and dog and cat food during the week leading up to the Super Bowl.
The children also made posters of some of the dogs and cats for adoption and hung them along the walls in the school hallways.
"We greatly appreciate the students and teachers at East Quogue Elementary School for their generous support and the many creative ways they do it. The Southampton Animal Shelter thinks these kids are super," Linda Goldsmith, SASF Public Relations Administrator said.
