Budget information for school districts from Westhampton to Hampton Bays.

On May 17, residents are being asked to cast a ballot for their respective school district budgets and to elect school board members. The following is information on the budgets being presented for a vote in the Hampton Bays, Westhampton Beach, Quogue, and East Quogue School Districts.

has proposed a $44 million budget, which carries with it a 2.59 percent increase in .  For taxpayers that translates to a 5.9 percent tax rate increase. In dollars, the tax rate looks to raise taxes by $11.35 per $1,000 assessed value. 

Hampton Bays residents are also being asked to elect a school board member.  is running unopposed for one open seat.

has proposed a $50 million budget that includes a 2.84 percent increase.  For homeowners the budget translates to a 3.82 percent tax rate increase. In dollars, that translates into a $5.476 increase per $1,000 assessed value.

Westhampton Beach residents are also being asked to elect a school board member.  School board president is running to keep his seat against challenger

is asking voters to approve a $7.5 million budget, which includes a 3.56 percent increase in . For taxpayers the budget translates to a tax rate increase of $1.83 per $1,000 assessed value.

Quogue residents are also being asked to elect a school board member.  , a current school board member, is running unopposed for the seat.

is asking voters to approve a $22 million budget, which reflects a 2.97 percent increase.  The increase translates to a tax levy increase of 5.69 percent, which in dollars equates to an additional $10.21 per $1,000 assessed value.

Also in Quogue, residents are being asked to elect two school board members. Incumbent board members and are vying to keep their seats from challenger .
