Westhampton Beach Police Chief Gets New Contract

Police Chief Ray Dean had been without contract for three years.

27east is reporting that the Westhampton Beach Village Board and Police Chief Ray Dean have reached a contract agreement after three years of negotiations.

According to the article, Chief Ray Dean's new six-year contract includes a two-percent annual salery increase and is retroactive to January 1, 2009. Prior to the contract, Chief Dean was making $149,624 a year. He will now make $158,624 a year.

The contract was approved at a special village board meeting on Wednesday morning.
