Westhampton Beach Mayor To Run Unopposed; Three to Run for Two Trustee Seats

Nominating petitions were submitted to the Village of Westhampton Beach on Friday evening.

The village race is officially on in Westhampton Beach with final nominating petitions submitted on Friday at 5 p.m.

According to Village Clerk Rebecca Molinaro, Westhampton Beach Mayor Conrad Teller was the only candidate to submit a nominating petition for the open mayor's seat. 

Teller, said Molinaro, submitted 112 signatures on the Unity Party Line.

Three candidats, however, said Molinaro submitted petitions for two open board seats, one of which is being vacated by , who is not seeking reelection.

Sitting deputy mayor Toni-Jo Birk handed in 72 signatures on the Beach Party line and challengers , both running on the Lightning Party line, offered 106 signatures each.

The village vote will take place on June 15.
