'Southampton Project' Premieres Candidate Film

Candidates look to go viral with video about their love of Southampton.

After a screening in Southampton Village Wednesday night, a short film funded by Southampton Town Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst's re-election campaign had its online premiere Thursday afternoon, at SouthamptonProject.com.

The video, which the campaign , features Throne-Holst talking about politics, her personal history and her life as a supervisor. The SouthamptonProject.com team says the video is something that has never been done before.

It also includes interviews with Throne-Holst's partners on the Democratic slate, incumbent Councilwoman Bridget Fleming and council candidate Brad Bender.

The video was produced and directed by William Goins and shot and edited by Rob Weber.

It includes interviews with members of the community, including a student, a veteran, a civic leader, a business owner, and elected officials U.S. Rep. Tim Bishop, Suffolk County Legislator Jay Schneiderman, Babylon Supervisor and county executive candidate Steve Bellone and New York State Assemblyman Fred Thiele.
