Sandy Tax Relief and Ice Rink Ice Rink Plans on Southampton Town Meeting Agenda

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Southampton Town Hall.

The Town of Southampton is poised to hold a meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday with a chocked-full agenda. The following is a pre-view of some of the resolutions the board is set to vote on, as well as public hearings scheduled. 

Public Hearings: 

  • Unsafe and Property Maintenance Conditions Located at the Premises Known as 41 West Tiana Road, Hampton Bays
  • Consider the Acquisition of Development Rights of Lands of the Peconic Land Trust, Water Mill.
  • Consider the Acquisition of Lands of 39-41 West Tiana Road Associates LLC, Hampton Bays
  • Consider the Acquisition of Lands of the Estate of Dolores Zebrowski, Noyac and Sag Harbor
  • Consider Amending Town Code Chapter 298 (Taxation) to Add New Article XV (Superstorm Sandy Assessment Relief Act) to Provide for Tax Relief for Damage Related to Superstorm Sandy
  • Consider Amending Town Code Chapter 298 (Taxation) to Add New Article XV (Superstorm Sandy Assessment Relief Act) to Provide for Tax Relief for Damage Related to Superstorm Sandy
Resolutions: 
  • Authorize the Town of Southampton to Remove Unsafe and Dangerous Conditions at the Premises Located at 41 West Tiana Road, Hampton Bays.
  • Authorize the Supervisor to Execute a 2014 Contract Extension with Keith Grimes, Inc. for the Drainage Construction in Areas East of the Shinnecock Canal
  • Authorize the Supervisor to Execute a Contract with Andrus Architectural Design, LLC. For Preliminary Plans for a Potential Ice Rink at the Southampton Youth Services Facility
  • Resolution of Adoption Enacting a Local Law Amending Chapter 298 (Taxation) by Adding a New Article XVI (Superstorm Sandy Assessment Relief Act) Relating to Providing for Tax Relief for Damage Related to Superstorm Sandy
  • Install New Street Light on Glen Avenue in Flanders
  • Memorializing Resolution in Support of Small Business Saturday in the Town of Southampton
