PHOTOS: Solution Is in the Bag Campaign
Students from local schools also received certificates of appreciation at the event.
On Saturday, a 'Solution is in the Bag' event was held at King Kullen in Hampton Bays and Bridgehampton where area residents took a pledge to reduce the use of plastic bags use reusables, with an overall goal of eliminating single use plastic bags from our environment and landfills.
Students from participating schools were also invited to the event where they received certificates of appreciation for entering a Plastic Bag Poster Contest that encourages residents to reduce, reuse and recycle.
