Photo of the Day: Drama Troupe Recognized for Bullying Prevention

The teens were honored on Nov. 27 by Southampton Councilwoman Christine Scalera.

On Nov. 27, The Town of Southampton recognized six teens who are members of the town's Youth Bureau Act TWO Teen Drama Troupe for their work to prevent bullying.

Southampton Town Councilwoman Christine Scalera presented the proclamation to teens Sydney Welch, Lana Johnson, Jeremias Hernandez, Athena Graham, Courtney King, and Alison Cappabianca and said their dedication to educating their peers and adults alike throughout the town is vital to preventing bullying.

The drama troupe's work is just one component of the town's mission to help prevent bullying. Last month, the town held several workshops for parents and children, including one in which Jamie Isaacs, who was bullied when she was only eight years old spoke.
