New Town Leaders To Take Oath of Office Monday
Annual organizational meeting to follow at Southampton Town Hall.
Newly elected Southampton officials will take the oath of office at a ceremony set for Monday a noon at Southampton Town Hall.
Among those who will be sworn in will be:
- Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst, who defeated challenger Linda Kabot in November by a landslide.
- Councilmen Stan Glinka and Brad Bender, who won town board seats with just 301 votes separating the bottom three candidates.
- Southampton Town Highway Superintendent Alex Gregor, who defeated Republican challenger David Betts with 62 percent of the vote.
- Southampton Trustees Bill Pell, Eric Shultz, Edward Warner, Jr., Scott M. Horowitz and Raymond B. Overton, who all ousted challengers William A. Brauninger, Howard W. Pickerell, and John V. Bouvier with 4,953.
- Southampton Town Clerk Sundy A. Schermeyer, who ran unchallenged.
- Southampton Town Justices Deborah E. Kooperstein and Barbara L. Wilson, who ran unopposed.
