Mayor Appoints New Clerk, Deputy Clerk

Mayor Conrad Teller made the appointment on Friday afternoon.

Westhampton Beach Mayor Conrad Teller has named a replacement for Village clerk/Treasure Rebecca Molinaro just days before she leaves the village to take a new job in the Village of East Hampton.

On Friday afternoon, Teller appointed Deputy Clerk Elizabeth Lindtvit as Village clerk/treasurer and Jeannine Conte to replace Lindtvit as deputy treasurer.

"I am pleased to officially name these appointments to the Village of Westhampton Beach," said Teller. "Both individuals have qualities and backgrounds that I feel will enable them to perform to the best of their
capabilities in their new positions and serve the residents of the Village of Westhampton Beach with professionalism and integrity.”

Lindtvit, Teller said has worked for the village since 2000 as deputy clerk and previously served in the Town of Southampton's comptroller’s and assessor’s office.

She has extensive knowledge of municipal operations and governmental duties, said Teller.

Conte, said Teller, is presently is the deputy treasurer for the Westhampton Beach Fire District and holds both a bachelor and master degree in finance and management.

Both appointments will take effect in May and will begin with the help of former village clerk Kathy McGinnis, who was hired as an independent contractor to oversee the transition on Wednesday evening at a rate of $60 per hour.
