Westhampton Village Police: New City Woman Steals Chanel Bag

The following information was supplied by the Westhampton Beach Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Westhampton Beach Police reports from August 1 through August 8:

Larceny

Richard Burhl, 19, of Manhasset was arrested Sunday at 4:30 a.m. on Dune Road in Westhampton Beach and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Police were called to the on Sunset Avenue and were told by an employee there that someone stole three Skoal chewing tobacco packages. Police then tracked Burhl down on Dune Road.

Tina Greenberg, 31, of upstate New City, New York was arrested Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in an alleyway near the on Main Street in Westhampton Beach and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Police said they received a call about a stolen Chanel bag, valued at $500, from the on Moniebogue Lane in the village and discovered Greenberg was responsible for the crime.

A 66-year-old woman from Westhampton Beach told Village Police that on Monday, August 1 between 10:30 a.m. and 10:42 a.m., a green and silver bike that she had rented from Bike and Kite was stolen while she was at on Dune Road. An employee of the club told police that it was a busy day and he didn’t see anyone suspicious.
