Westhampton Beach Police Log: Spray-Painter Caught on Tape

Westhampton Beach Police reports through January 29.

The following incidents were reported to Westhampton Beach police over the past week. 

Criminal Mischief

Westhampton Beach police say they are actively investigating an incident in which the back of Goldberg's Deli was egged and spray painted. Police report that they have video of a dark-colored SUV and at least one male subject at the premises at the time of the incident. The damage was spotted by an officer patrolling the area on Jan. 26 at 2:50 p.m.

Burglary

On Jan. 26, a Rogers Avenue homeowner reported to police that unknown subjects broke through the kitchen door and stole multiple pieces of jewelry. Police said they were unable to track the thief due to snowy weather conditions. The incident is under investigation.

Theft

An Oneck Road resident reported to police on Jan. 27 that sometime between Jan. 23 and Jan. 27, someone took a red, Honda quad runner from his backyard. Several other dirt bikes were in the yard at the time, but only the runner was stolen. Police are investigating.
