Westhampton Beach Police Log: Man Hits Traffic Officer With Car

DWI
Daniel Bolander, 20, of Westhampton was arrested by Westhampton Beach Village Police Saturday at 1:40 a.m. on Montauk Highway in Westhampton Beach and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they pulled Bolander over after he almost hit a telephone pole.

Unlicensed Operation
Eduardo Napoles, Jr., 24, of Westhampton Beach was stopped by Westhampton Beach Village Police Sunday at 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Mill Road and Main Street and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Police said Napoles hit a traffic control officer with his car, prompting police to look at his record. The officer was not injured, as he was able to push off the front hood of the car and land on the side of the car, police said.
