Westhampton Beach Police Log: Man Charged Under Social Host Law

Social Host Law
A 19-year-old Westhampton Beach man* was charged under the Suffolk County Host Social Host Law on May 11 after police were called to the scene of underage drinking. Police said the man was charged with the violation after he admitted to buying beer for the minors. He was then taken to Peconic Bay Medial Center for treatment for an alcohol overdose.
DWI
Anthony Fitzsimons, 53, of Westhampton was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor on May 3 after police said they spotted him speeding on Rogers Avenue at 8:50 p.m.
Fitszimons, who was pulled over at the corner of Montauk Highway and Aspatuck Road, was arraigned the following day and is due back in court on May 22.
