Westhampton Beach Police Log: DWI Arrests

• On July 8 at 3:30 p.m. Westhampton Beach Police charged Carla Scurry, 54 of Remsenburg, with DWI, a misdemeanor and resisting arrest. Police say Scurry was driving a 2008 Toyota on Oneck Road when they witnessed her make an illegal left-hand turn off of Jessup Avenue. Police say Southampton Town officers helped to subdue her when she attempted to fight officers upon her arrest. 

• Shane Verity, 27, of East Moriches, was charged on June 28 at 11:29 p.m. with charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police say they stopped Verity, who was driving motorcycle eastbound of Dune Road for speeding. He failed field sobriety tests, police said.
