Westhampton Beach Police Logs: Pot Riding Shotgun

Westhampton Beach police report two DWI arrests were made through Jan. 8.

Editor’s Note: The following information was supplied by the Westhampton Beach Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• Ashley Fred-Muenzh, 25, of Massepequa, was charged on Jan. 5 at 6:20 p.m. with ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor,  and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Police said they pulled Fred-Muenzh over on Old Riverhead Road for following too closely. She is due back in court on Jan. 23.

• On Jan. 23 at 10:39 p.m., Westhampton Beach police charged Diane Delucia, 60, of Eastport, with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they pulled Delucia over on Potunk Lane for speeding. She was held overnight and is due back in court on Jan. 23.

• Westhampton Beach police are investigating a theft over the New Year's holiday weekend. Police said the owners of Garza Auto Repair reported that someone stole an amplifier, valued at $1,000 for a 2005 Ford pick-up truck parked on the business' property.
